Last weekend we drove into Baltimore to go to an auto show at the Convention Center. It was a very cold day so it was nice getting out of the house but still being somewhere warm. I took full advantage of the Starbucks inside and got a very hot and yummy hot chocolate. The auto show was a stimulation overload between the people, lights, and cars. It was fun being able to look at so many different makes and models all in one place. Most cars were not roped off so you could sit in them and even pop the hood. Of course the fancy (expensive) ones were off limits but we still enjoyed seeing them. I think I narrowed my next car down so the trip was a success. Now its time to save up so I can take it home!
Ryan's favorite
One of Doug's favorite. He says this will be his next car because it's the only one he wants that is even close to being affordable. Not sure when a Nissan GTR is going to be affordable but can't keep the man from dreaming.
The new Mustang. I actually like it.
Doug's next favorite car
This is one of his favorites ever, the Acura NSX. They don't make them anymore so he rarely gets to see it.
How do I look? Mine will be navy or black. :)

Cute puppy pics
Yeah, couldn't resist posting these...
Refusing to get out of bed and shielding her eyes from the light.
It was really cold... and we were inspired by a Star Wars character...
"Mom thinks it's hilarious when I run around trying to get a clothes pin off my ear. I don't find it funny at all!"
This is her "Whatcha eating? Gonna share?" pose.

Congrats Doug!
Today was Doug's last day as a supervisor of lost prevention/inventory/a whole lot of other things at the Best Buy location in Annapolis. Tomorrow he starts his new job as General Manager of Best Buy Mobile in Arundel Mills. The store is a stand alone, mobile only store inside the mall. He has the mobile and store manager experience from being the previous supervisor of the mobile department in Best Buy and manager of Batteries Plus in Georgia. I know he will do great!
There are some ups and downs of the new job. NO MORE OVERNIGHTS! But he will loose the fixed Sun-Thur 6-2:30 schedule we have been enjoying. Hopefully he will still get a Saturday or Sunday off every month. I will miss seeing him every night and having fun every Saturday. But this is a step up in his career and more money in the pocket!
So let's all give Doug a big CONGRATS on his job promotion. This is one proud wife! Love you, babe!

2 Road trips
The past two weekends Doug and I took a small road trip with Ryan and Doug's mom. Both trips had a destination of food... The first trip was a two hour drive south to Fredericksburg, VA. There lies the closest Steak and Shake. Yes, we drove two hours for Steak and Shake. What's it to you? We told Ryan about it when he went to Atlanta last year for a wedding. He stopped and was hooked. I teased him in Dec by sending him pics of my milkshakes from there when we were in Alabama. He made us promise him a road trip to the closest one so we held up our promise. We took a "back road" down and saw a lot of Maryland and Virginia we had not seen before. There was still a lot of snow on the ground so it made for a pretty drive even though it was longer. We enjoyed our burgers and shakes very much. Our waitress was surprised to hear we drove 2 hour just to eat there. Hate its so far away. Another trip is already planned for the summer. :)
The next weekend (last weekend) we headed 1.5 hours north to Shrewsbury, PA. There lies the Amish market. I would say Doug and Ryan went crazy buying food but I was right there with him. We bought lots of baked goods and then ate lunch. Everything is so cheap we pigged out, brought tons of food home, and only spent $40. This was one of the first nice days we had in a while. It was sunny and in the 40's! It was nice being out and about and not freezing.

Videos
We got another snow storm yesterday. It snowed all day but the wind kept it from accumulating so I have no idea how much we actually got. Maybe 7-8 inches. Enough to make driving to work a mess and give Auburn a very full belly. She was very helpful cleaning up all the snow we tracked in the house.
While it was snowing outside, Auburn and I were coming up with ways to entertain ourselves. Who knew Auburn loved money. Took me awhile to get it back from her. Good thing it was just a few dollar bills.

Red Robin... Yumm!
Dinner with friends :) Still amazed all of us were able to get together. Coordinating schedules is the worst! Especially for one of you! Yeah, I am calling you and your schedule out! :)
Snow Pics
Here are a few pictures from the "big" snow we got at the beginning of January. We were predicted to get about 3-6 inches. I think we ended up with around 6 or 7. It was the most snow we have gotten since we have been in MD. It was beautiful but cold! And very icy. Every time the snow would melt some the temperature would drop and it would all freeze again. With all this cold weather we have had I swear some of this snow is still lingering around in the shady spots. Auburn enjoyed eating it as always. It was very fluffy so no snowman building or snowball fights occurred.

Christmas with Dad's side of the family on Christmas Eve
I did a Shutterfly calendar for Pop's
Dad said Mom could not put up any snowman decorations next year. Guess she will not be decorating next year...
Christmas with Mom's side of the family on Christmas Day.
The day after Christmas with had dinner with my Dad'sand his mom's side of the family. It was great seeing everyone again. Hopefully it will become a tradition.
Uncle Mike and I are huge Auburn fans.
Growing up, I admired my cousin, Christy. She was (and still is) smart, kind, and beautiful. It was great seeing her again.
Auburn playing with her gift from Doug's mom.
Auburn opening up her present from Uncle Ryan...
... and playing/wearing it. It lasted 1 day before I had to "stitch" it back together. At this point, I think my toy surgical skills have earned me a PhD. :)
I went to Tiger Rags & J&M while at home to pick up some new t'shirts. My mom got me a Christmas wall sign and orange/blue bracelets. But Doug got me a limited edition Iron Bowl wall plaque with a piece of an official game ball! He did good! He also got me a Last Roll wall plaque but it will not be here until the end of the week.
Pictures from Doug's Grandmother's Funeral
Don't worry, there are no casket shots. Just family.
Doug and I also wanted to take the time to thank everyone for the cards, thoughts, prayers, love, and support we received during this very difficult time. It was very much appreciated. We love you all. Thank you so much for everything.
