Shutterfly books

I am very behind on my Shutterfly books. I have been trying to dedicate some time to get a little caught up but I have a long list to get through. I still have Mason's first Christmas and first birthday to do. I still haven't even posted any of the pictures from all our trips to Alabama! So until that happens sometime hopefully in 2017 :) here are a few books I have recently done.

Only 1 year difference

It's crazy what a difference 1 year can make. The first picture is Mason's school picture from 2015 and the second is his 2016 one. He has grown so much in a year!

Santa Pictures 2017

Thursday my work had a Christmas party by the mall in Columbia. Since Doug was off, I thought it was the perfect time to go see Santa with Mason. I picked up Mason from daycare and brought him to the party so I didn't have to go all the way back to get him after it was over. He did really good considering it was during his nap time. He ran around and got in everybody's way but everyone was really nice about it. He charmed their socks off so he could do no wrong...

Since the party was during his nap time, I scheduled his visit (if you reserve your time slot online you don't have to wait in line and you get a discount) an hour after the party ended so I could hopefully get him to nap before seeing Santa. After a couple of loops around the mall in the car he was out and got a good, solid hour nap in. He woke up still tired but happy to see Santa.

We did a quick stop to the bathroom to change outfits (he had a daycare outfit, party outfit, and a picture outfit thanks to the 3 teeth coming in causing him to drool like crazy) and fix his wild and crazy and yogurt crusted hair. With our reservation we walked right up and was in Santa's lap within minutes. Mason was so excited to see Santa. He walked right up to him, gave him a hug and a high five.

It took us awhile to get Mason to smile. He kinda just sat there. But then Santa pinched his cheeks and the smiles were plentiful. The crew was extremely nice. They took lots of pictures and were very patient with him. I highly recommend them for anyone in the area. When Mason just stayed in Santa's lap, they just laughed and kept taking pictures. They even invited me over to take some with them.

Halloween

I know, next week is Thanksgiving and I am just now posting the Halloween pictures. Sorry! This mom thing kind of keeps me busy. Ha!

The day before Halloween shirt. It was nap time so... all pants were off. :)

Our Halloween daycare shirt - Mommy's Little Pumpkin

Saying "Roar" like the tiger does

He wore the hood the entire time and never fussed about it.

Learning the process... be cute, get "toy", put in basket... repeat!

Getting pointers from Daddy

On to the next victim... he was slaying with cuteness!

These people know how to Halloween tailgate! Fire pits, tables of food, and coolers!

He said "Thank you" for the first time and repeated it without guidance from us every time he got a piece of candy.

On to the next street!

Playground fun

A few weeks ago Mason and I spent the afternoon at the park. He loves to swing and slide and I cannot think of a better way to run some of that energy out of him. The weather was perfect outside and the park was almost empty so we stayed for awhile to have some fun. He is fearless and chose to slide down the big kid slide each time. I was surprised he knew how and was able to keep himself upright and not hurt himself. I guess he gets lots of experience at daycare.

Mason's Christmas List

I have added a bunch of "ideas" for Mason's Christmas present to our Amazon baby registry. Mason helped me pick out all of them. :)

You will probably see a trend of airplanes and trucks, which are his favorite things. You can't go wrong with getting him anything with an airplane or truck on it. He also loves animals but isn't a huge fan of stuffed animals. His favorites are fish, owls, turtles, and dogs.

For items not on the registry:
- Anything Auburn! He loves his Auburn tigers!
- Target/Wal-Mart gift card
- Potty training items
- Everyday essentials like diapers (Pampers size 4) or wipes (Pampers sensitive)
- Shoes (size 5.5 - 6 MUST BE WIDE)
- Clothes (size 24 month to 2T for winter/spring)

Please let me know if you purchase anything on the registry or something similar so I can remove it and ensure we do not get duplicates. If you have something else in mind and want to double check with me, give me a call. You are welcome to buy something online and ship to my parents house since we will be there for Christmas. Please keep in mind we have limited cargo space. If you get him something really big that may not fit in our SUV, please ship it to our house. (Unless you want to drive it back to MD with us :) )

Can't wait to see everybody this year!

Chop chop - another milestone for Mason

Today Mason had another big milestone. My little hippie went to the salon and got his long curly blonde hair cut. He did excellent! He sat mostly still and smiled the entire time. Of course he charmed everyone there. Mommy did good too and didn't cry. I think I was so concerned with keeping him happy I didn't have time to think about his little baby hairs falling to the floor. I really hated cutting the curls off but he couldn't see and had a mullet in the back. I wasn't sure what kind of a cut to get so I just told them to cut it shorter than it was. Maybe next time we will get a new style.

Playing with the toys in the lwaiting area before going back to get the haircut

Meeting the lady who cut his hair

See how long his hair was!

First cut!

Happy boy!

Much better than the doctor!

Too cute!

Flirting with the other ladies that worked there

Dad and Grandma helped keep him entertained.

They had books! Mason was a happy camper.

All done!

BBQ milestone

Today we had another major milestone in Mason's life. He, for the first time, ate BBQ. It doesn't seem like a big deal but for our little vegetarian it is. I usually have to hide meat in veggies or pasta. For example, ground beef in spaghetti or or tiny bits of chicken with veggies. He will eat fish sticks, popcorn shrimp, and chicken nuggets but not much more. So when he ate and asked for more pulled pork today at Mission BBQ I was thrilled to death. We did dip in ketchup  (I know the bbq gods are shaming me right now) but I did what I had to do! I kept telling him how proud I was of him. For a "prize" we let him go see the Mission BBQ truck. He loved it!

What does the truck say? Honk Honk!
