Ok. I am writing this from dougs phone on the way to minneapolis so ignore all typos. This will be short so i will fill in the gaps when i get back to an actual computed.
We missed our first flight out of charlotte by 2 minutes. Thank you TSA. The people by the gate refused to help us and made us go all the way back to the front counter. Luckily those people were nice and escorted us to the front of the security line so we would make the next flight.
When we got here we went to dinner, checked into the hotel, and went to walmart to get dews and body wash (thank you again TSA). Our hotel room was small but ok. The only thing bad was the mattress sheet not staying on the bed and the smell. It smelled like the room had not had anyone in it for 5+ years. Not musty, not dirty, just old.
Day 2 we went up by the Mississippi to eat lunch in this little town called Twin Peaks Cafe. OMG! I had a sour cream and onion burger. It was damn good. Then we went to Lacrosse to do some shopping. I bought a book and a necklace with gift cards from my birthday. So so far i have not spent money on anything but food. Ha!
OMG i forgot to tell you about Lynda's bakery. I could die and go to fat kid heaven in that store. Breads, cookies, doughnuts, pies, cupcakes, and fudge. All homemade and 100% not good for you. It was so good we are going back tomorrow.
Today is the fair. Look for another blog tomorrow.
BTW it's in the 90's yesterday and today. So much for cooler weather.
